AI consultancy, UK and remote

# AI consultancy for UK companies from strategy to a working pilot

JustAutomate is an AI consultancy and automation agency that works with UK companies remotely, in English. We tell you which processes are worth handing to AI, which are not and in what order to move, and then build the first one if you want us to. The paid first step is a process workshop at EUR 3,500 net per week; the first 30-minute consultation is free.

Book a free consultation [See how the workshop works](https://justautomate.ai/en/services/process-workshop/)

- EUR 3,500 netper week of the process workshop, excluding VAT. It is the price of the decision on what to automate, paid before any money goes into a rollout
- 1 to 7 weeksthe length of the workshop, set by the number of processes and systems in scope and agreed on the free consultation
- 14 daysfrom the end of the workshop to the first pilot on your real data, if you decide to carry on with us

The problem

## What goes wrong when a company buys AI before it picks a process?

The pattern is familiar. The board asks what the company is doing about AI, someone buys licences for a chat tool, a few people use it to draft emails, and an automation one salesperson built stops working a month later. Nobody can say which process costs the most hours or which one could move first, yet the budget decision is due this quarter.

That is buying from the wrong end: the tool first, then a search for something to attach it to. The usual outcome is a tool used by two people, a team that works as before, and a renewal where nobody can put a figure on what the company got for the money.

The legal side has to be settled before the build, not after it. For UK companies the starting point is UK GDPR, including its rules on decisions about people made solely by automated means, and the [ICO guidance on AI and data protection](https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/uk-gdpr-guidance-and-resources/artificial-intelligence/guidance-on-ai-and-data-protection/). If you sell into the EU or the output of your system is used there, [Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, the AI Act](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2024/1689/oj), can apply to you as well. Which rules bite depends on the process, not on the tool.

- Licences paid for before anyone counted the hours the process takes
- A pilot that stops after a month because it had no owner and no metric
- A board question about return answered with the team finds it easier
- Three overlapping tools a year later, each used by a handful of people

What an AI consultant does

## What does an AI consultancy actually do for a company?

Good AI consultancy answers three questions in order. Which processes are worth automating, counted in events per month and minutes per event. Whether the data behind them can be reached, usually through the API of a CRM, a finance system or Google Workspace and Microsoft 365\. And what the right order is, given what depends on what. Advice that skips the first two ends as a list of ideas.

The second part is the return. With one process in front of you the sum is short: how often it happens in a month, how long it takes a person, what an hour of that person costs, set against the cost of the rollout and the tools. We wrote the arithmetic out step by step in the [guide to automation ROI](https://justautomate.ai/en/guides/automation-roi/), so you can check our figures with your own finance team.

The third part is where many consultancies stop and we do not. Platforms billed by usage, such as Make or [n8n on your own server](https://docs.n8n.io/), make it cheap to test a recommendation on one process before the company commits to anything larger. So the advice ends with something you can switch on and measure, not only a document.

What you get

## What comes out of an AI consultancy engagement with us?

- ### Processes ranked by what they cost you
We break each process into steps with the people who run it and time it on examples from the last month. The ranking comes from those measurements, not from who spoke loudest in the kick-off meeting.
Scored on frequency, time, data, exceptions, cost of error, owner and legal frame
- ### A written list of what to leave alone
A process that runs twice a year, or where half the cases are exceptions, stays with a person. The document says so and gives the reason.
Rejections recorded with reasons, so the same idea does not return next quarter
- ### A return estimate your finance team can test
For the first wave we set events per month, time per event and hourly cost against the cost of the rollout and of the tools you pay the vendor for.
Every assumption listed separately, open to challenge before you sign
- ### A rollout order with dependencies
The plan says what can start straight after the workshop, what needs the data cleaned first and what only makes sense later. Some automations cannot move while the CRM holds one customer in three records, and the plan says which.
Three waves: the first pilot, the next 2 to 4 weeks, and what waits on data
- ### Tools chosen without a sales target
We resell no platform and take no commission on licences. You get a named tool, the reasoning and an alternative: n8n on your own infrastructure, Make, Zapier or a direct API integration.
Tool and model costs go to the vendor directly, with no margin added by us
- ### The build, if you want it
The same people who wrote the plan can build the first automation and measure it. You can also take the document to your own developers or another firm.
Result of the first rollout measured at 30 and 90 days against the plan

Proof

## Do you calculate the return on your own advice?

Yes, and we show it on the only numbers we can publish without asking a client for permission: an AI agent running in production inside our founders' agency, launched in March 2026 and built by the method described above. Below is the measurement, together with what these numbers do NOT prove.

Built for ourselves. These are not client deployments but implementations inside the founders' own companies. We say so plainly, because proof you cannot verify is not proof.

Before you hire a consultancy

## What do UK companies ask us before they start?

These four questions come up on most first calls. Here is how we answer them.

- You are not based in the UK.
Correct. JustAutomate is a Polish agency and we work with UK companies remotely, in English, one hour ahead of London. Workshop sessions run on video calls with the people who do the work, and the systems we connect to sit in the cloud anyway. If your project needs someone on site every week, we are not the right choice and we will say so on the first call.
- We paid for an AI strategy once and got a deck nobody used.
That is the reason the workshop ends with a ranked process list, a return estimate and a rollout order, not with a vision. You see the result after every stage and comment on it. We only recommend what we could build ourselves, so nothing in the plan is out of reach.
- We are a small business, consultancy sounds like overkill.
Then the workshop is short. The number of weeks follows from the number of processes and systems, not from headcount, and we agree it on the free consultation. If that call already shows there is nothing worth mapping, the work ends there and costs you nothing.
- You will recommend a rollout, because that is what you sell.
A fair question. Two things answer it: the workshop is a separate piece of work with a published price, and its plan can be carried out by your own team or another firm. Processes we advise against go into the same document, with the reason.

## Which kind of AI consultancy fits your company?

AI consultancy covers very different services. Before you compare quotes, compare what each type of firm leaves you with and who does the build.

| Type of firm | What you get at the end | Who builds it | Fits when |
| ---------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Large strategy or Big Four consultancy | AI strategy, operating model, governance, business case | usually a separate delivery team or partner | a large organisation runs a programme across many departments |
| Independent AI consultant | advice and tool choice from one experienced person, often with training | sometimes the consultant, alone | the scope is small and you want a second opinion quickly |
| Software vendor or platform partner | a rollout of that one platform | the partner, inside the platform | you have already chosen the tool and need it configured |
| AI consultancy that also builds (JustAutomate) | ranked processes, return estimate, rollout order, then a pilot | the same team, or your developers using the plan | an SME wants a decision and a first automation running, not a programme |
| Your own team | whatever your people have time to learn and test | your developers and process owners | you have developers and someone who owns the process; a workshop can still set the order |

We are the right choice only for the fourth row. If you need an organisation-wide transformation programme or research on custom models, a large consultancy or a specialist lab fits better, and we will tell you that on the first call.

How we work

## Five steps from wanting AI to a decision with a number in it

Each step ends with something you can judge before you agree to the next.

1. ### Free consultation
30 minutes on what eats the most hours in your team and what you have already tried. We tell you whether a workshop makes sense and how many weeks it would take. You do not need to open any system for this.
2. ### Process workshop
1 to 7 weeks at EUR 3,500 net per week. We map processes with the people who run them, time them on real examples and record bottlenecks, owners and exceptions, because those decide whether an automation can be built at all.
3. ### Data and readiness check
On a sample from your systems we check where the data sits, whether it can be read through an API and what state it is in. We also look at who in the team will really change how they work. This step changes the order of the plan more often than any other.
4. ### Return estimate and order
For the first wave you get a return estimate with the assumptions written out and the processes put in order with their dependencies. Each tool comes with an alternative and the cost you would pay the vendor.
5. ### Decision and pilot
You get a document you can take to the board and carry out without us. If you continue with us, the first pilot runs on your real data 14 days after the workshop, and we measure the result at 30 and 90 days against the plan.

Before and after

## How the AI conversation changes inside the company

### Before

- Ask what the company is doing about AI and the answer depends on who is in the room
- Licences were bought and nobody knows which process they were meant for
- A pilot stopped after a month and nobody wrote down why
- The case for spending is that a competitor already has something

### After

- One ranked list of processes, the same for everyone on the board
- Each first-wave process has a return estimate with its assumptions on paper
- Rejected ideas carry a reason, so they do not come back at the next meeting
- The first pilot runs 14 days after the workshop and is measured at 30 days

The document arrives when the workshop closes. Whether the return estimate held is known 90 days after the first rollout.

For the person signing it off

## What the owner or managing director gets out of it

You are approving a spend you will answer for. The workshop has a published weekly price and a number of weeks agreed upfront, so the riskiest part of the project sits on an amount you know before it starts. The rollout is a separate decision, taken once the process list, the data check and the return estimate are in front of you.

In the board meeting you no longer say the company is adopting AI. You show one process with its events per month, minutes per event and hourly cost, next to the cost of the rollout and the tools, followed by the processes you decided not to touch and why. That is hard to dismiss with a question about the point of it all.

- Published price: EUR 3,500 net per week, 1 to 7 weeks
- A document that stands without us and your own team can execute
- Rejected processes recorded with a reason
- First rollout measured at 30 and 90 days

What it costs

## How much does an AI consultant cost with us?

The process workshop costs **EUR 3,500 net per week**, excluding VAT, and runs 1 to 7 weeks depending on the number of processes and systems in scope. The weeks are agreed on the free consultation, so you know the full price before anything is signed. The rollout is quoted after the workshop, because only then is it clear what is in scope and what state the data is in.

When you compare AI consultancy quotes, compare what you get at the end: a day rate for advice, a fixed price for a strategy, or a fixed price for a decision plus a build by the same team. Tool and model costs go straight to the vendor, with no commission from us, so recommending n8n on your own server is worth exactly as much to us as recommending Make.

- ### Process workshop
EUR 3,500 net
per week, 1 to 7 weeks
A separate piece of work and the start of any consultancy engagement. It ends with a document you can carry out without us.

  - Process map written with the people who do the work
  - Each process scored, rejections included
  - Return estimate for the first wave, assumptions written out
  - Tool recommendation with an alternative and vendor costs
  - Rollout order with dependencies and metrics for day 30
 Start with the workshop
- Most popular
### Workshop and rollout
Quoted after the workshop
scope follows from the number of processes and the state of the systems
The first pilot runs 14 days after the workshop; a full rollout typically takes 4 to 8 weeks.

  - Everything in the workshop
  - Pilot on real data before the full rollout is agreed
  - Build in n8n, Make or through the API, connected to the CRM and finance system
  - Training for the process owner, so rules can change without us
  - Result measured at 30 and 90 days against the plan
 Talk about a rollout
- ### Consultancy and an AI agent
Quoted after the workshop
for companies whose data sits in several systems
The rollout plus BOND, our AI agent that answers questions from your company data in seconds.

  - Everything in the rollout
  - BOND connected to the CRM, finance, warehouse and task system
  - Pilot in one department before the whole company
  - Access for the whole team, answers in English
 Ask about the agent

The workshop document stands without us: you can take it to another firm or carry out the plan with your own team. If the workshop shows nothing in your processes is worth automating, we say so plainly and the work ends there.

## Frequently asked questions

What does an AI consultant do?

An AI consultant works out where AI and automation will pay back in your company and where they will not. In our case that means mapping processes with the people who run them, scoring each one, checking whether the data can be reached, estimating the return for the best candidates and setting the order of rollout. The result is a document with the process list, the rejections and a tool recommendation, and if you want, a first pilot built by the same team.

How much does an AI consultancy cost?

It depends on the type of firm and what you buy: a day rate for advice, a fixed fee for a strategy, or a fixed fee for a decision followed by a build. Our price is published: the process workshop costs EUR 3,500 net per week, excluding VAT, for 1 to 7 weeks. The rollout is quoted after the workshop. The first 30-minute consultation is free.

Do you work with UK companies?

Yes. JustAutomate is a Polish automation agency serving companies in Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the UK. UK clients work with us remotely and in English, on the same method and the same EUR price as other English-language clients.

How do you decide which processes to automate first?

Each process is scored on seven criteria: how often it happens, how long one pass takes, whether the data sits in a system with an API, how many cases are exceptions, what an error costs, who owns the process and whether it decides something about a person. A process that runs fewer than four times a month with no deadline, or has more exceptions than typical cases, drops down the list or off it. We set the weights with you.

How is AI consultancy different from AI training for the team?

Consultancy decides what to automate and in what order, before the rollout. Training teaches people to work with tools that are already chosen. They solve different problems at different moments, so we run them separately and tell you on the first call which comes first in your case.

What if it turns out we have nothing to automate?

We say so and write it down with the reason: the process is too rare, there are more exceptions than typical cases, or the data lives only in email. A reasoned no is a result of the workshop. It saves the money that would have gone into a rollout nobody used.

Do we have to give you access to our systems for the workshop?

Not at the start. The free consultation and the first sessions run on what you share on your own screen. Access is needed only for the data check and the pilot, within a scope agreed in writing. If the process makes decisions about people, we also agree where a human stays in that decision, as UK GDPR expects.

Who from our side needs to take part?

The person who runs the process and the person who can decide to change it. Without the first the map is guesswork; without the second the plan never turns into a rollout. Most of the work between sessions happens on our side.

## Find out whether your processes hold anything worth automating

The free consultation takes 30 minutes. You describe what takes the most hours in your team and what you have already tried. We tell you whether a workshop makes sense, how many weeks it would take and which process we would start with. You talk directly to Paweł Pasterak, the founder, with no sales desk in between.

We run at most two rollouts at a time, so that someone is actually sitting on each of them.

[Book a free consultation](https://justautomate.ai/en/contact/)

**PS.** If your board asked this quarter what the company is doing about AI and nobody had an answer with a number in it, this is that problem. A workshop at EUR 3,500 net per week turns the question into a ranked list of processes with a return estimate, which you can approve or turn down knowingly.
